Encompassing the Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte, and Octomore brands, the Bruichladdich Distillery whiskies are a high-priority collection of brands at Rémy Cointreau seeking a strategic Brand Manager or Senior Brand Manager to champion their growth as they enter their newest chapter.

Bruichladdich’s ambition is to make the most thought-provoking spirits by reconnecting land with dram. The distillery emphasizes a unique philosophy and sustainable practices, creating distinctive single malts that reflect the unique character of Islay. It is one of the few distilleries in the world to be B Corp certified and operates with a vision to lead with people and purpose in line with profit. 

Bruichladdich is part of Rémy Cointreau, a French spirits group with a portfolio of exceptional brands such as The House of Rémy Martin, Cointreau, The Botanist gin and Mount Gay Rum among others. Each of these brands embodies unique expertise and heritage, but all share the same love of terroir and a culture of excellence.

 

**We are considering candidates at both the Brand Manager and Senior Brand Manager levels. The salary range for this role based in New York is $115,000–$145,000.**

Actual compensation and title will be commensurate with experience/skills, geographic location, and demonstrated expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

The Brand Manager/Senior Brand Manager will play a key role in building The Bruichladdich Distillery whisky brands in the U.S. The position will report to the Senior Brand Director and work cross-functionally with Global Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales, Finance, and external agencies to build and execute plans that deliver on brand goals.


Core Responsibilities: 

Responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, and measurement of through-the-line programs in support of the U.S. Strategic Plan:

  • Partner with the Senior Brand Director and brand team counterpart to evolve and optimize brand strategy, balancing strategic equity objectives with commercial needs.
  • Refine the U.S. consumer profile for Bruichladdich and the distillery whisky brands to guide U.S. brand strategy and planning.
  • Lead overarching U.S. brand planning for Bruichladdich:
    • Develop plans with strong, consumer insight-led hooks.
    • Oversee brand media and PR activation, including management of media and PR agencies.
    • Forge and build out brand partnerships (brand / media / commercial, as relevant) to amplify programs.
    • Oversee brand visual identity in the U.S.
    • Develop annual brand plan presentations.
  • Regularly monitor brand performance and results vs. KPIs.

 

Lead the roll-out of distillery innovations in the U.S.:

  • Assess innovation opportunities and lead launch strategies, go-to-market plans, and toolkits.
  • Manage PR and media plans for innovations.
  • Monitor innovation performance and optimize plans as needed.


Oversee brand e-commerce site and CRM program:

  • Lead brand marketing plans for the brand e-commerce site that deliver on long-term growth plans and KPIs.
  • Build CRM plan to grow audience size and increase consumer engagement; manage creative and deployment of CRM emails.

 

Work cross-functionally and foster strong relationships both internally and externally:

  • Internal: U.S. Brand Marketing, Global Brand Team, U.S. Business Development, U.S. Trade Marketing, National Accounts, Brand Ambassadors, Sales and Field Activation Team, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Business Intelligence.
  • External: Media Agency, PR Agency, Shopper Marketing, Design.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6-8+ years in brand marketing with experience in spirits; whisky experience a plus.
  • Proven ability to drive brand strategy and develop relevant, impactful 360 brand marketing plans.
  • Robust project management experience, with exceptional organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – PowerPoint, Excel, etc. 

Education / Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication and Media, or equivalent.
