As the Training Expert – EWO, you will bring training to life by developing and maintaining dynamic, SCORM-compliant courseware that engages learners and meets mission objectives. In this role, you’ll transform complex information into clear, interactive training products that support performance, readiness, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update SCORM-compliant training materials, including Interactive Multi-Media Instruction (IMI), Computer-Based Training (CBT), and Interactive Courseware (ICW levels 1 and 2), using tools like Articulate or Adobe Captivate.
- Create PowerPoint presentations, training scenarios, and assessments aligned with community standards, organizational objectives, and stakeholder feedback, with regular updates to ensure relevance and quality.
- Design engaging, clear, and concise training materials tailored to diverse learner audiences (e.g., beginners, advanced learners, technical staff) using instructional design principles (e.g. ADDIE) to maximize comprehension and retention.
- Evaluate student performance using standardized assessment methods and provide constructive, documented feedback to support aircrew development and ensure training objectives are met.
- Review and ensure the quality, technical accuracy, and instructional design integrity of draft and final training products, adhere to industry standards and organizational goals, through peer reviews, learner testing, and stakeholder feedback.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs), and project teams to resolve content issues, implement revisions, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Promote and support the company’s safety culture.
- Position will require the ability and flexibility to work weekends and travel 25% of the year.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Operational flight experience with a minimum of 8 years and 1,000 flight hours in P-8A, required.
- Demonstrated FRS, MPRWS, or WTU experience, required.
- Must have thorough knowledge of: P-8A non-acoustic systems, electronic warfare, Crew resource management (CRM), and Next Generation Threat Simulation (NGTS) software.
- Familiarity with Instructional Systems Design (ISD) processes and techniques (e.g., ADDIE: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), required.
- Must possess a deep understanding of learning theory.
- Must be able to maintain current FAA Medical Certificate (or equivalent), positional qualifications and requirements for flight duties on the P-8A.
- Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office 365, required.
- Advanced instructor experience (Instructor Under Training Instructor), preferred.
- Experience as a Master Training Specialist, preferred.
Required Certifications:
- P-8A EWO Instructor (ACTC Level 400)
- P-8A Weapons Tactics Instructor (ACTC Level 500)
- P-8A EWO NATOPS Evaluator or Instructor

- This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
