Job Title: Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist
Location: Tempe, AZ (Onsite – Full-Time)
Pay: $26–$28 per hour

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established construction company based in Tempe, Arizona, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, onsite position ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a background in construction billing and receivables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Project Managers to prepare and submit monthly AIA billings
• Maintain an up-to-date list of clients with outstanding balances
• Collect lien waivers from vendors and suppliers per General Contractor (GC) requirements to ensure timely release of payments
• Issue invoices and billing statements to clients and follow up as needed
• Accurately record payments and apply them to customer accounts
• Monitor and identify delinquent accounts or insufficient payments
• Communicate with clients regarding overdue balances and payment timelines
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, etc.) to resolve billing issues
• Prepare and maintain regular accounts receivable reports
• Support the implementation of internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Familiarity with AIA billing, lien waivers, and construction project billing requirements
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with any of the following is a plus:
  • Sage 100, Procore, GC Pay, Textura
