Job Summary
The Education Department Marketing Assistant is responsible for marketing and promoting educational experiences to students, educators, and families in the tri-state area. This position requires an enthusiastic, committed, creative, and detail-oriented storyteller. Candidates must have demonstrated copywriter skills and understand the power of images in inspiring people. Dependability, adaptability, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are key to succeeding in this role.
Major Responsibilities
- Support the Education department in executing marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Develop compelling copy to promote programming on an ongoing basis.
- Using Canva and Adobe, create dynamic and engaging marketing assets (print and digital) that align with the WCS Education Inclusive Style Guide.
- Create and disseminate Family and Educator monthly email newsletters that reach current and new education department subscribers.
- Maintain and update WCS Education webpages and supporting files in CMS to reflect current and upcoming educational department offerings.
- Maintain online directories with various media outlets.
Qualification Requirements
- 1 year of marketing experience that includes creating and editing assets with strict deadlines and working with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong copywriting skills and the ability to concisely communicate ideas.
- Competency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, SharePoint, as well as Google Apps
- Demonstrated experience using Canva, Mailchimp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in web creation and maintenance
- Excellent organizational and time management skills - fine attention to detail
Physical Demands
The physical demands include but are not limited to the use of a Keyboard, 10-key, Mouse, and Telephone Use, Handwriting, Sitting, Standing, Crouching, Kneeling, Bending, Walking, Stair Climbing, and Lifting up to 50lbs.
