Yellowstone Club’s Culinary department is currently seeking candidates for an Executive Steward position.
Purpose:
As an Executive Steward, you will be responsible for developing an environment that creates excitement for internal team members and external club members. In this position, you will report directly to the Culinary Director and also be responsible for assisting the Executive Chefs. You will provide clerical support and maintain correspondence files, inventories of printed material, assigned projects, spreadsheets, and budget files. The Executive Steward also has the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations - utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills while balancing multiple competing priorities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure that each member and guest receive outstanding service in a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
- Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests always, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our members and guests; assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
- Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, members, and guests always. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Yellowstone Club employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.

Daily Essential Job Functions:

- Daily upkeep and organization of all F&B storage areas.
- Oversight of chemical and cleaning supplies (ordering, distribution, and inventory)
- Ensuring all ware washing equipment is in working order and cleaned properly.
- Ensuring all sanitation related products are ordered and distributed to each outlet.
- Maintaining cleanliness in all back of the house areas including Kitchens and walk-ins.
- Assisting the Executive Chefs & Culinary Director upon request with special projects and initiative.
- Oversees scheduling and ensures the stewarding team is staffed properly daily.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight of seasonal china, glass & silver Inventories (Spring and Fall)
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality/attendance and consistency standards.
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
- Always maintain a clean and neat appearance.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with all employees, supervisors, managers, and directors.
- Project a favorable image of Yellowstone Club to Members and guests always.
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Attend weekly F&B meetings.
- Acts as a mentor to other employees and coworkers to provide superior member service.
- Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach – including maintenance and cleaning of all kitchen equipment, walls, ceilings, vents, drains and floors.
- Oversees deep cleaning of kitchen areas and other areas as assigned.
- Ensures all china, glass, silver, etc.… is put away in proper areas and organized accordingly.
- Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion – often with deadline pressures.
- Gathers and edits monthly labor reports and prepares final reports for the Culinary Leadership team.
Knowledge, Skills, & abilities required:
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
- Independently initiates, follows-up on, and complete assignments as well as special projects.
- Knowledge of financial systems and proficiency with spreadsheet software.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively perform multiple tasks.
- Ability to interface professionally with business contacts and customers.
- Strong understanding of hospitality industry helpful.
- Demonstrates interpersonal sound judgment and decision-making skills in directing administrative tasks, using discretion when necessary, understanding the potential impact on the department.
- At least 3+ years' experience in a Stewarding Leadership role or equivalent.
- At least 3 years' experience in a large resort capacity preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, certificate in culinary arts or relevant management field acceptable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of world class hospitality and service management.
Certificates & Licenses:
- Valid State Driver’s License
- Valid ServSafe Certification
Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of and ability to operate Microsoft Office Programs – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Team etc.
- Ability to type 45 w.p.m.
Language Ability:
- Able to speak clearly and effectively with members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments. Able to write clearly and legibly.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
Work Environment:
