JOB TITLE:  CNC Programmer

REPORTS TO: Shift Facilitator

SHIFT DAYS /HOURS:  1st Shift 10 hr. shifts (Mon-Thurs) 7:00 am- 5:00 pm) Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.

We are searching for a responsible CNC Programmer to write production programs for each of our 15 CNC Machining centers. The individual will collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to ensure project accuracy and quality from inception to completion.

           What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Work with Project Engineering to finalize Fabrication Quotations.
  • Work with Project Engineering to concept/design/build fixtures and gages.
  • Document Fixture Storage.
  • CNC Program creation.
  • CNC Program optimization.
  • Create Perishable Tooling Builds to specification.
  • Manage Perishable Tooling in MSC Storage System.
  • Data Management.
  • CNC 1st time setup and production run.
  • Work with team to create written, tool and fixture setup instructions.
  • Work with team to create written, part production instructions.
  • Work with team to create video tool and fixture setup instructions.
  • Work with team to create video part production instructions.
  • Be a technical resource for Setup and Production personnel.
  • Train Setup personnel.
  • Participate in Kickoff, Review, and After-Action Meetings.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor.
  • Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation. 
  • Able to participate in a collaborative environment. 
  • Comply with safety policies and procedures. 
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Work Environment / Physical Demands 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning. 

    What You Will Need: 

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • CNC programming experience
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Blueprint reading.
  • Advanced proficiency in GD&T skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a CNC Operator.
  • Experience with multiple machine controls (Haas, Fanuc, Brother, Mitsubishi)
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks CAD Software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
