Intelligence Analyst (Senior) Job Description

JOB TITLE: Intelligence Analyst (Senior)
REQUISITION #: NE-1455-25-STRATCOM
CLEARANCE: TS/SCI with NC2/ESI and SAP access required
LOCATION: Offutt AFB, NE
REPORTS TO: SABG Program Manager
FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring a full-time Intelligence Analyst (Senior) to provide all-source intelligence analysis supporting USSTRATCOM J2, Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC). This position requires solid experience conducting intelligence analysis on strategic deterrence, Nuclear Command and Control Communications (NC3), and peer/near-peer adversaries (Russia, China, North Korea, Iran). The Journeyman Level Intelligence Analyst will conduct near-term, mid-term, and long-term intelligence analysis, author intelligence products for senior leadership, support Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE), and provide analytical support for Command planning and operational requirements. 

This position is contingent upon contract award.

 Domestic temporary duty (TDY) travel required for conferences, training, coordination meetings, and IC collaboration. Travel estimated at 4 trips per calendar year.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will meet one or more of the following experience requirements (candidates satisfying multiple/all requirements are strongly preferred):

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience supporting plans and JIPOE analysis. Critical duties include providing situational awareness of adversary threat capabilities to support I&W, authoring strategic regional and global JIPOE products to enable planning, and authoring intelligence products for the USSTRATCOM Headquarters staff, assigned Component Commands/and Task Forces, and the IC.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience supporting the development of intelligence collections requirements and providing feedback and evaluations to IC reporting.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience providing analysis supporting Target Systems Analysis and target folder development for nuclear, kinetic, and non-kinetic targeting efforts.

SUPERVISION: This position works under the guidance of senior analysts and Government personnel.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with intelligence analysis on peer and near-peer adversaries (Russia, China, North Korea, Iran)
  • Knowledge of strategic forces, nuclear deterrence, nuclear kinetic targeting efforts, NC3, and related mission areas
  • Experience with IC production management tools and systems
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Task Management Tool (TMT), e-Task, MARS, RMT (WISE and M3 successor), Cedallion, CHROME, CIA WiRE, OMAR, Palantir, Analyst Notebook, NSA Pulse, CIA Lucky, GOSSIP, Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), TAC, WIDOW, Proton, ROCKSTAR, SNAPGLASS, FounDRI, DataXplorer, Strategic Missile and Relocatable Targets (SMART), MIST, CED, Dataminr, Quellfire, Talon Thresher; Microsoft Office Suite; Intelligence Community databases and tools; Visualization and analytical tools.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be U.S. citizen
  • Final Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility required (interim TS not acceptable)
  • Nuclear Command and Control/Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2/ESI) access required
  • Special Access Program (SAP) eligible
  • Special Technical Operations (STO) eligible
  • May be required to pass a Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph examination
  • Must be able to work in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs)

COMPUTER SKILLS:
 • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
 • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on data.
