Job Title: Manager, Digital Strategy & Marketing Technology

Reports To: Director, Marketing Communications

Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid)

The Manager for Digital Strategy & Marketing Technology at Ambu North America leads a team of marketing operations, digital marketing developers, and performance analysts. This leader manages the strategic and day-to-day functions at the heart of the downstream marketing awareness and demand program in North America. The Ops & Digital team are at the center of a high volume, fast-paced, high impact organization focused on bringing Ambu’s value and messaging to our customers and markets across all digital channels, platforms, and mediums. The candidate will be responsible for delivering best-in-class demand and value programs, along with ensuring continuing improvement processes for increasing engagement, demand generation, traffic, and followership – especially in the areas of website & campaign management, email marketing, lead generation, SEO, social media, ABM, and CRM utilization. This role is an essential part of our US downstream marketing organization that works with multiple internal teams to ensure content deliverables that resonate with our customers, drives product adoption, and supports our business goals attainment. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performance team of marketing operations analysts, developers, and digital marketing professionals operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, tight-deadline commercial environment to support achievement of Ambu’s business goals
  • Develop best-in-class processes for execution in downstream commercial marketing operations within the digital and web-based environments – including strategy development, real-time analysis and reporting, and high-volume campaign traffic management with ongoing performance improvement
  • Results-oriented management and operations reporting – driving real-time learnings, market positioning, audience engagement, and targeted strategic initiative completion
  • Manage and optimize the distribution of digital content across multiple platforms, including websites, social media, trade association channels, email, SEM, ABM, and drive maximization of CRM integration
  • Foster a collaborative and creative environment that encourages innovation and best-in-class content, alongside a cross-functional team of Ambu North America downstream marketing and the larger commercial organization
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to align digital operations efforts with promotional activities calendar
  • Develop and execute multi-business unit downstream channel strategies that support Ambu’s commercial objectives, with a focus on message amplification, audience engagement for awareness, and high-quality lead generation
  • Develop and manage to, the annual budget and strategic plan for the marketing ops and digital strategy team for inclusion in the larger Marketing Communications and Marketing Organization annual operating plan inclusive of monthly/quarterly budget reporting
  • Monitor industry trends, market developments, and technological advancements to inform and optimize digital strategies aligning with Ambu’s North American business goals
  • Ensure compliance with digital distribution policies and regulations
  • Understand and leverage changes in Google platforms to optimize digital reach inclusive of AI
  • Oversee the technical aspects of digital distribution including: file formats, encoding, software updates, etc.
  • Periodically review and optimize marketing tech stack to ensure alignment to Ambu marketing strategy while leveraging technology advancements that bring efficiencies and cost savings
  • Liaise with global counterparts on areas with mutual benefit to the US and global organizations
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications / Education:

  • BS in marketing, communications or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in digital marketing, content channel management, general marketing operations, and marketing tech with 5 years in a people manager role
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding, inspiring, and developing teams
  • Strong reporting skills and experience – including powerpoint and excel proficiency
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics and Ad platforms and their updates
  • Proven track record of executing & analyzing impactful digital distribution strategies across multiple platforms
  • Established success with SEM, SEO, Website CMS, Email marketing, account-based marketing, social media, and marketing automation tools to deliver omnichannel campaigns
  • Self-starter with proven experience in developing processes and collaborating cross-functionally to bring ideas to life
