Senior Sales Training & RFP Enablement Specialist

As a member of the company’s Sales Enablement and Operations team, the Senior Sales Training & RFP Enablement Specialist will play a dual role in driving sales effectiveness by leading two essential functions: strategic ownership of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and development of comprehensive training and enablement programs. This role will serve as the key coordinator of RFP management and delivery across the organization and will also lead the creation of scalable training content, documentation, and sales tools that empower CoreSite Sales teams to perform at the highest level.

Duties

Sales Training & Enablement

  • Design and execute scalable onboarding and training programs for CoreSite’s Sales and Marketing teams, including product training, sales process education, systems/tools usage, and sales skills development.
  • Create and maintain CoreSite’s sales enablement assets including battlecards, objection handling guides, competitive intel, product positioning materials, and playbooks.
  • Own the development and documentation of sales processes and procedures in collaboration with Sales Operations and senior leadership.
  • Facilitate training sessions for Marketing, Product, and Sales teams that advance onboarding, product knowledge, sales processes, and RFP best practices.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Sales leadership to ensure training content and sales tools reflect the latest messaging, product developments, promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and maintain a central library of training and sales enablement materials in a well-organized, searchable format.
  • Administer the SalesHood Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring effective utilization, timely updates, and reporting on learner engagement and training outcomes.
  • Assess training effectiveness through learner feedback, performance metrics, and regular analysis to identify gaps and optimize content.
  • Ensure streamlined and timely communication across the Sales organization.

 

RFP Program Ownership

  • Serve as the primary owner and coordinator of the end-to-end RFP and RFI response process.
  • Lead intake and own project management of all RFPs in collaboration with Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product, Legal, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer timelines and deliverables are properly managed, met, and communicated to all project stakeholders throughout the course of the RFP.
  • Ensure each response is aligned with CoreSite’s brand standards, tone, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain and optimize the RFP content library within the Responsive platform, including tagging, data hygiene, and regular content audits with subject matter experts.
  • Proactively improve RFP-related processes and documentation to ensure consistency, efficiency, and high-quality outputs.
  • Stay informed on proposal management best practices and industry benchmarks.
  • Promote and demonstrate behaviors consistent with CoreSite’s Culture and Core Values.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment with at least two onsite days per week, currently Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s for in office collaboration.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 5% of the time, with the potential for increased travel or in-office presence as business needs evolve.
  • Ability to design, deliver, and continuously evaluate training programs that drive measurable impact.
  • Strong ability to translate complex information into accessible training, documentation, and sales tools.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Advanced writing and editing skills with a focus on clarity, details, and brand consistency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Growth mindset with adaptability, creativity, and openness to change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SalesHood (or similar LMS), Salesforce CRM, and Responsive (or similar RFP software).

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business, Communications, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales enablement, training, or proposal management, including responsibility for managing, streamlining, and optimizing RFP processes and tools.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional sales initiatives and RFP responses, preferably within the data center or telecom industry, or in a fast-paced, high-performing B2B sales environment.

Compensation:

Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $68,000 and $80,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
