Position Overview:

The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient operation. This role supports and works closely with the Vice President, Capital Projects through a variety of tasks related to the organization. The ideal candidate is resourceful, organized, and a good communicator with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails.
  • Ability to manage multiple calendars, as needed.
  • Facilitate travel arrangements, including itineraries, hotel bookings, and transportation logistics.
  • Administer all associated travel expense reports.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient office environment, including managing office supplies, equipment, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with other executive and administrative staff to ensure seamless operations within the Company.
  • Organize and schedule appointments and meetings for the Vice President, Capital Projects, the capital projects team and other necessary stakeholders.
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an administrative role, mining or manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Desired Qualities:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project management systems (e.g., SAP or similar tools) is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
