WHO WE ARE & WHO YOU ARE:

As a Plant Engineering Manager, you will lead our engineering, safety, and facilities teams, driving productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency. You'll be the go-to person for managing capital projects, coordinating facility services, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely.

The Plant Engineering Manager will:

  • Lead and motivate the engineering, safety, and facilities team to achieve productivity, quality, and cost goals through Lean tools and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure project objectives align with business needs and maintain an engineering structure that balances responsiveness and quality.
  • Develop and maintain broad process and technology knowledge to support production and distribution needs.
  • Manage reengineering efforts to exceed partner and retailer expectations while reducing costs.
  • Oversee facility support activities, including safety, security, and environmental compliance.
  • Develop and manage expense and capital budgets to ensure effective performance and prudent management of capital assets.
  • Build and manage a capable team through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders and Supply Chain staff to update and shape the overall Supply Chain strategy.

The role may require occasional weekend work, depending on business needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of operational engineering experience with a focus on process improvement and R&D.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and application will stand out if you have:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing and distribution environment with knowledge of process equipment, distribution technology and/or packaging processes. LEAN manufacturing experience a plus
  • AutoCAD, MS Project, Microsoft office, and web proficiency
  • Excellent communication / collaboration / customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight timeframes and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal communication, organization and experience leading teams
  • Awareness of developing technologies
  • Negotiation skills helpful in working with vendors and contracts
