At BSA, we do more than design buildings; we create LifeStructures – innovative and inviting spaces that not only house the activities of healing, learning and discovery but actually contribute to them.  We are always open to receiving applications from talented Interior Designers. We review applications on an ongoing basis and will contact suitable candidates as positions become available.

Our Interior Designers:

  • Provide support to Senior Interior Designer
    1. Manage all aspects associated with projects including proposals, exhibits, contracts, project budget, and profitability.
    2. Maintain constant professional communications with client, project team, and consultants.
    3. Have a role in mentorship of other Interior Design staff.
    4. Mentoring and/or sharing interior design knowledge with others in the firm.
  • Meet deadlines and manage personal utilization within project budgets 
    1. Responsible for managing large scale interior design projects.
    2. Develop a schedule of integrated tasks required to accomplish individual projects.  Monitor progress toward the deliverable schedule.
    3. Document projects via construction documents and specifications effectively, and in accordance with established design standards as well as those set by official governing agencies.
    4. Develop an optimal design solution for the project that meets the client’s needs and represents the company’s standard quality of design.  Present design solutions to the client.
    5. Coordination of design document preparation across all disciplines. 
    6. Overall project profitability.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Pursue additional applicable certifications within the field.
  • Continue to develop design skills and pursue opportunities for continued education on topics related to the field of Interior Design.
  • Design community involvement/participation at local level.
  • Promote company’s reputation through good client relations. 
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Collaborates and supports fellow employee owners in ongoing improvements. Understands personal accountability within their role in the company.  
  • Computer skills required: Revit, Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps; Architecture CAD, Sketchup, Bluebeam; Graphic Software: InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Enscape.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture required.
  • 5+ years related experience. Experience working on healing, learning and/or discovery project types preferred.
  • NCIDQ Certification is preferred.
