LOCATION: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Tampa, FL. This is an in-office role.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our growing team in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability for our software and products. You will be responsible for testing, identifying bugs, and driving quality assurance processes that ensure our products meet both technical specifications and customer expectations. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by contributing to a vital part of our product lifecycle, ensuring that our customers have a seamless, high-quality experience.
In this role you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional, internal, and external teams to understand project requirements and specifications for a backend and front-end tools and applications.
- Define comprehensive test plans, test repositories, automate test suites, manual test repositories, and comprehensive documentation for quality procedures.
- Own and track test metrics.
- Develop and execute on functional, regression, end to end and user acceptance testing.
- Deliver, document, and prioritize identified defects, deliver bug reports, and communicate with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
We are looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance engineer or similar role in a software development environment
- 3+ yrs of experience in the fintech industry with a focus on POS, Billing, Payment, Risk platforms, PCI/DSS, PII applications
- Proven to multi-tasking ability on projects and be able to train other resources when needed.
- Proven experience rapid troubleshooting and identifying root of the problem.
- Comfortable with sizing at a story/task level and at the initiative level.
- Comfortable working in a Kanban OR Scrum rapid delivery models.
- Extensive experience with JIRA, Confluence, Office365, REST, SOAP, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Java, Python, responsive designs, oracle, mySQL, MongoDB, snowflake, iframes, Postman and Cloud based microservice architecture (AWS Preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and how they relate to quality assurance.
- Experience in executing manual test cases, building and executing automation test cases, recommending best practices and effective procedures to identify software defects, performance defects and inconsistencies is a plus.
You may be a good fit if you have these additional skills and/or educational background:
- Experience with testing on mobile ios/android applications is a plus a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with performance testing and security testing.
