Step2, the leader in innovative play and outdoor products, is launching a new commercial sales division and is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Director to drive growth across key market segments. This new role will own regional revenue targets, build and scale customer relationships, and lead business development efforts across diverse channels including pool builders, pool distribution, hospitality, multifamily, student housing, country clubs, and water parks.
 
 The ideal candidate is a strategic sales leader with a proven track record of building long-term partnerships, growing market share, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Location: Hybrid or Remote

 

Job Duties:

  • Business Development: Identify and capture new business opportunities within targeted verticals (hospitality, multifamily, student housing, pool markets, recreation).
  • Drive Regional Sales Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals.
  • Strategic Account Management: Cultivate, manage, and expand relationships with key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, Product Development, and Finance to deliver integrated solutions and seamless customer experiences.
  • Forecasting: Own the forecasting process and collaborate with finance and leadership on a monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast build
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide field sales representatives, aligning team efforts with company objectives and KPIs.
  • Customer Experience: Be the voice of the customer internally and deliver the best customer service in the industry.
  • Market Insights: Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to continuously refine go-to-market approach.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 3+ years at a regional or national level.
  • Proven success selling into B2B environments such as hospitality, multifamily, commercial recreation, or pool industries.
  • Track record of growing revenue and building long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically.
  • High proficiency in CRM tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • ust have the ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships across organization and with customers Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Ability to travel as needed to our corporate headquarters in the Cleveland, Ohio area as well as customer travel as required (seasonal in nature- less than 20%)

 Work Environment:

This position will perform most job duties in an office environment where using a computer, software applications, telephone, printer, etc. are essential.
