The DPI Global Cybersecurity IAM Associate Analyst Apprentice is designed for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and identity management. This position assists in deploying, maintaining, and refining IAM technologies to ensure secure and compliant access across the organization’s digital landscape. This role is designed to support the day-to-day management of user identities and access permissions across the organization. As part of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, you’ll help implement and maintain systems to ensure the right people have the right access to the right resources.  

This is a 12-month program and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.  

 

Responsibilities

What you’ll learn & achieve:  

  • Assist in administering identity solutions, IAM applications, and tools such as Active Directory, Identity Governance and Administration, and other identity applications. 
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, ethical practices, and regulatory guidelines. 
  • Support the design and enforcement of IAM policies, standards, and procedures that govern secure access to systems and data. 
  • Participate in audits, access management reviews, and assist in identifying control deficiencies, recommending improvements as necessary. 
  • Assist with the development and tracking of IAM metrics, KPIs, and reports to help measure progress and communicate performance to management. 
  • Support IAM tools and technologies and identify areas of continuous improvements based on security best practices and organizational needs. 
  • Collaborate with the IAM and IT team to support the implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and role-based access control (RBAC) solutions. 
  • Assist in the administration of user accounts, groups, and access privileges within the IAM system. 
  • Help resolve day-to-day IAM operational issues and escalations, ensuring timely problem resolution. 
  • Support the seamless integration of IAM solutions into the overall infrastructure. 
  • Participate in IAM-related projects, contributing to tasks such as understanding current state, gathering requirements, documenting future state, coorrdinating testing, and providing support. 
  • Keep updated with IAM trends, tools, and technologies to improve the organization's security posture. 
  • Read and follow the UL Solutions Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices. 
  • Performs other duties as directed. 

Qualifications

What makes you a great fit:  

  • Successful completion of the DPI career development program  
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 
  • 1-year relevant work experience in Active Directory, Microsoft O365, ServiceNow, or Identity and Access Management Applications is preferred.  
  • Knowledge of IAM-related regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR). 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAM certifications are a plus  

What we offer: 

  • Total Rewards: The hourly rate for this role is $30.00. This apprenticeship is a 12-month program and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week.
