Job Description:Job Summary
The graphic designer will assist the HR Talent Acquisition team in creating and designing recruitment collateral including but not limited to collateral, flyers, posters, promotional pieces, signage, Web sites, communication channels, publications, digital signs, etc. The position works with internal customers and external vendors to develop new designs that meet the design brand standards and effectively communicate the goals of UMMS.
Primary Responsibilities
• Designs recruitment collateral and promotional pieces including, but not specific to brochures, flyers, advertisements, annual reports, invitations, signage, logos, newsletters and all digital assets.
• Designs using graphics, photography, flash files, and some video elements.
• Develops relationships with printers/vendors.
• Provides creative guidance for all visual projects throughout talent acquisition,
• Acts as creative service consultant to other departments as necessary.
• Works closely with UMMS and other system hospital creative teams.
• Prepares all graphic files and elements (downloadable) to be placed on the different UMMS channels Web sites and/or CRM. Also prepares such files for advertising and display on external channels.
• Shares knowledge by participating in departmental meetings and advises as to best practices on graphic and multimedia matters.
• Assists with photography and videography as needed for UMMS and local site. Works closely with UMMS photographer and videographer.
• May assist the Talent Acquisition Department with general projects including publications or events, or other assigned tasks.
• Manages content generation and coordinates incoming content requests; prioritizes the work and ensures schedule coordination. Develops workflows production schedules, and budget estimates.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience - Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Publishing or business-related field is required. A portfolio of related design work is required.
- Five years of design experience in a hospital, corporate and/or agency environment.
- Experience with HTML, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Adobe Express).
- Design Portfolio Required
Education & Experience - Preferred
- Video editing experience utilizing various social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of web, digital/social media communications, and print production is required.
- Advanced computer skills and graphic software experience required, with the ability to work with both Mac and PC platforms.
- Written and oral communications skills with the ability to listen, respond and provide a creative solution that generates results are necessary.
- Project management skills are required, with the ability to organize, set priorities and manage several projects at once on tight deadlines.
- Highly organized adept project manager, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners.
- Demonstrates ability to keep up to date with best practices in creative services and information publishing and conduct periodic research to determine effectiveness of communication channels and messaging and to help demonstrate return on investment for digital signage channel.
- Demonstrates ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multi-dimensional points of view, to take accountability for deliverables and results and to manage multiple complex tasks and projects concurrently.
- Self-motivated, self-directed and highly organized individual who will support a productive, collegial workplace and serve as an effective, professional brand ambassador.

Pay Range: $62,940 - $88,129
