Job Description:

The Telco Business Specialist is responsible for contacting, qualifying and closing sales with prospects within the Telco Small Business Category. This position plays a fundamental role in achieving JB Hi-Fi Business customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively contact, qualify and close leads generated from retail stores and the commercial sales team.
  • Review and allocate leads to the appropriate Telco Business Development Managers, JB Hi-Fi Retail Business Specialists, and TGG Trade Specialists.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements through scoping and qualification.
  • Support the development of sales campaigns to drive new sales and products. 
  • Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers to understand their existing and future business needs. Including gaining a thorough understanding of their objectives, buying criteria, and decision-making processes.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of services aligned with customer needs and objectives.
  • Present innovative business solutions to potential clients through direct communication (face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails).
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications, with a strong focus on Telstra products, services and systems.    
  • Proven experience in both B2B & consumer sales and services, with a track record of achieving sales and profit targets
  • Demonstrated experience in phone-based sales (advantageous)
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening, persuasive presenting skills and clear articulation across diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capability with the ability to effectively prioritise workload and proactively problem solve.
  • Client-centric approach, committed to delivering tailored business solutions that meet unique customer needs.
