Description
The Development Assistant will support the Data Team in maintaining accurate donor records, streamlining communications, and assisting with acknowledgment processes. This role combines one-time organizational projects with ongoing responsibilities that help ensure timely donor stewardship and database integrity. By handling both administrative and data-focused tasks, the associate will enhance the team’s capacity for higher-level analysis, reporting, and donor engagement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to audience and donor emails and phone calls; update donor accounts as appropriate.
- Prepare and process donor acknowledgment materials, including:
- Assembling thank you letters and renewal mailers,
- Performing mail merges in Word for in-house thank you letters and renewals, and
- Creating mail-merge labels and packaging in-house thank you gifts.
- Compile a response guide for [email protected] and [email protected] by reviewing past email correspondence, documenting FAQs, and flagging outdated responses.
- Enhance data quality in database:
- Merge duplicate donor records in RevCRM,
- Perform database (MVault) clean-up to ensure donor memberships align with RevCRM data, including merging duplicate IDs,
- Identify and correct records where duplicate accounts exist (e.g., one active and one deceased member with matching email addresses), and
- Assist with updating source code descriptions in RevCRM.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with both administrative tasks (mailings, filing, organizing) and data entry/cleanup.
- Experience with CRM systems preferred; familiarity with Revolution CRM (RevCRM) a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word (mail merge) required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and donor stewardship.
This is a part-time, hourly position that is currently in person. Hourly rate of $25/hr. Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.
