Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners (“AJCP”) is seeking a Director, Finance to support the firm’s growth by assisting with the finance function, which broadly encompasses financial planning and analysis and data analytics in a cross-functional setting.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director, Finance will be responsible for supporting the firm’s finance function. The finance team is focused on managing the financial resources of the firm, along with the funds and related entities that it sponsors. The Director, Finance is a key contributor for the firm’s valuation process in which its sponsored funds are marked to fair value each quarter and is responsible for spearheading deliverables provided to third-party accounting firms in conducting annual audits. The Director, Finance will help lead reporting and analytics for investment management companies and help drive corporate-level financial transactions and other ad-hoc assignments. The Director, Finance will help advance AJ’s artificial intelligence (AI), data transformation, and business intelligence initiatives.
The Director, Finance will liaise with internal staff, executive leadership, external service providers, and counterparties in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, while being flexible, proactive, resourceful, efficient, and conducting oneself with utmost professionalism.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Execute and manage the quarterly valuation process for assigned funds, in collaboration with colleagues from Accounting, Investments, Asset Management, and Capital Markets.
- Execute and manage deliverables required for year-end financial reporting process, namely audit deliverables.
- Support the financial reporting process, including the preparation of quarterly and annual investor deliverables.
- Coordinate and drive analyses for investment management company financial activities and generate reporting deliverables for executive management and external parties.
- Help drive advancements in AJ’s artificial intelligence (AI), data transformation, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Assist with various ad-hoc requests and other duties as assigned.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preferred
- 7+ years of finance, valuations, and analytics experience.
- Experience at a real estate investment management firm or private equity firm.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensations, or range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Illinois. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of AJCP’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $140,000-$180,000. Other rewards may include annual bonuses. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
