Job Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Project Manager is a pivotal role at Austin Transit Partnership (ATP), reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Information Technology. This position is responsible for leading the planning, organization, and execution of technology projects across ATP departments. The IT Project Manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the high standards of functionality and quality expected by ATP leadership. This role is essential in updating systems and infrastructure to support ATP's mission, requiring a deep understanding of project management principles and IT systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and primary responsibilities below are intended to describe the general requirements of this job and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead the planning and implementation of IT projects, setting project goals, timeframes, budget estimates, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure projects are executed efficiently and align with ATP’s strategic objectives
- Utilize project management tools to monitor project performance, schedule adherence, and resource utilization
- Conduct risk assessments, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Organize meetings to discuss project objectives, progress, and outcomes with stakeholders
- Advise on best practices for system configuration to maximize benefits for ATP, ensuring compliance with GASB and FTA reporting requirements
- Support the integration of systems like Procore with Oracle Fusion, facilitating seamless communication and project management among ATP team members and contractors
- Champion ATP’s safety culture by adhering to safety policies and considering safety in every action
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
Seven years of experience in implementing or supporting enterprise-level Financial, Procurement, Project Management, and/or HCM information systems
- OR An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics consistent with the required qualifications

- Comprehensive knowledge of fiscal planning, cost-benefit analysis, and project management principles
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from various stakeholders
- Strong analytical, organizational, and systems thinking skills, with a proactive and results-oriented approach
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be proficient in using business and communications software, preferably Microsoft Office 365 which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work is generally performed in an office environment, but occasionally requires attendance at public meetings, stakeholder meetings, and/or job sites. ATP promotes a safe and healthy work environment and provides appropriate safety and equipment training for all employees as required.
