We are a Christian faith-based, non-profit organization with a rich and evolving culture seeking a Development Intern to assist with the Development Department.

Hours: 15-20 hours per week, in-person at Administrative Office (3535 Peachtree Rd NE #320, Atlanta, GA 30326)


Position Summary: The Development Intern will gain hands-on experience in various facets of the nonprofit sector, with a focus on fundraising, events, communications, and donor relations. This internship offers the opportunity to collaborate with team members on key projects while building a strong understanding of nonprofit operations.


Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Event Management & Fundraising:

  • Support event registration and logistics for Wellspring Living’s annual signature events.

  • Assist with planning, execution, and follow-up activities for three major fundraising events each year.

  • Design event collateral and promotional materials using Canva to help drive attendance and awareness.

  • Contribute to the development and expansion of the Young Professionals program, including member research and outreach.

  • Research and identify potential corporate sponsorships and partnership opportunities.

  • Coordinate third-party events across the Atlanta area that support Wellspring Living’s mission and fundraising goals.



Database & Donor Services:

  • Assist the Development team with drafting and sending donation acknowledgment letters and mailings.

  • Support tracking and reporting of in-kind donations using Purposity and other tools.

  • Maintain and update donor records in Salesforce to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate  closely with the Development Manager and other Development team members to ensure alignment and smooth execution of initiatives.

  • Support other development-related tasks and projects as assigned to meet organizational needs.

Professional Qualifications & Skills :

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, social work, business, communications, or a related field.

  • Strong passion for nonprofit work and alignment with Wellspring Living’s mission.

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar donor management and CRM platforms is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency with Canva Pro or similar design tools for creating marketing and special event materials.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

  • Experience with data entry and database management

  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills

  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong research and analytical abilities

  • Reliable transportation required (intern may be expected to travel between different locations)

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Docs).

Working Conditions: 

  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work for long periods at a computer.

  • Moderate local travel required related to program and training needs, as well as occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area.


*Please note that these responsibilities provide a general overview, but the Development Intern may also be assigned additional tasks as needed.
