Position Summary:
The Web Developer will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems to power our web applications and digital platforms. Deliver clean and reliable code to build scalable and performant frontend experiences. Collaborate cross-functionally to implement solutions that meet technical and business needs. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot backend and frontend issues to ensure application reliability and speed.

Location: Omaha, NE | Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Development & API Design: Design, build, and maintain systems using JavaScript, TypeScript and React for performance, reliability and cost. Develop and maintain APIs using Node.js to power user-facing applications. Integrate internal and third-party systems with security and performance in mind.
- Data & Storage Management: Build and maintain connections to structured and unstructured data sources. Implement data modeling best practices and optimize data flows for scalability and efficiency.
- Code Quality & DevOps Practices: Write maintainable, scalable and performance optimized code. Manage version control using Git and GitHub. Write unit, integration and automation tests to ensure code quality, robustness and maintainability. Participate in code reviews and contribute to process and tool improvement.
- System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor system health using backend and frontend logging and performance tools. Identify bottlenecks, debug production issues, and implement fixes to maintain system stability.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate UI/UX designers, business stakeholders and other team members to translate business needs as well as mockups into functional and responsive user interfaces. Communicate technical decisions clearly and contribute to architectural planning and design discussions.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required. Bachelor�s degree in computer science, engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience combined (one year of experience equals one year of education) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of backend or full-stack development experience required
- Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript required
- Experience with React required
- Experience with Node.js and working with APIs required
- Experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Firebase) required; SQL and NoSQL preferred
- Familiarity with serverless functions and cloud-based backend infrastructure (e.g., AWS Lambda, Firebase Functions) preferred
- Solid understanding of Git and GitHub for version control required
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks required
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills required
- Experience with Agile development practices preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations preferred
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools preferred
