The purpose of this role is to create a place where the Spirit my reside and the work of the salvation and exaltation can be accomplished by providing advanced administrative and operational support to multiple leaders and functional teams within Headquarters Facilities. Admin Assistants in this role serve as trusted partners in coordinating complex projects, managing assignments, and ensuring department priorities are executed effectively.
This position requires initiative, sound judgment, the ability to work independently and disseminate information while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to represent the department in interactions with employees, leaders, and external partners are essential. Additionally, this role requires strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to confidently present and engage with both small and large groups of employees.

Shift Details
- Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Hybrid - Church Headquarters, SLC UT. Hours may vary)
- Compensation: $24-$29 per hour depending on education and experience
*** This position does not qualify for students required to work at Ensign College ***
Responsibilities
Duties might be of similar complexity and difficulty to the following functions:
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing high-level administrative support for employee development services and department programs
- Independently managing projects, monitoring progress, and ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met
- Preparing complex reports, memos, spreadsheets, and presentations for senior leaders and teams
- Coordinating meetings, schedules, and department-wide activities across multiple leaders and functional areas
- Taking detailed minutes, preparing action items, and ensuring follow-through on commitments
- Monitoring departmental inboxes and drafting polished, professional correspondence on behalf of leaders
Assisting with budget activities, including expense tracking, reconciliations, and reporting
- Coordinating logistics for meetings, trainings, and department events, including travel arrangements and resource needs
- Acting as a professional point of contact for internal and external inquiries, often requiring discretion and sound judgment
- Supporting department initiatives and special assignments requiring independent analysis and problem-solving
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of administrative or related experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent professional communication skills (written and verbal) and facilitation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software as needed
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, confidentiality, and integrity
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments and work independently
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time, moving about the office to deliver items, and using computer monitors/equipment. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field
Broad knowledge of the Church’s organizational structure and functions
