Position Overview 

As a User Experience Content Design Intern at Autodesk, you’ll develop user-interface copy and content strategy from a digital experience perspective, with emphasis on usability, accessibility, and effectiveness. You’ll work closely with various teams, including UX designers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and more to create compelling, frictionless content experiences that build loyalty and drive business impact. 

Autodesk software is used daily by millions of design and engineering professionals all over the world. This role is critical in shaping and delivering engaging, high-quality content that enhances customer interaction with our brand.  

Responsibilities 

  • Creating content strategy and UX copy for specific features or initiatives  

  • Helping to develop user tests focusing on microcopy effectiveness 

  • Running competitive analyses to identify industry terms or familiar terms related to specific projects 

  • Auditing workflows and customer communications for terminology and content patterns 

  • Experimenting with new tools and technologies (including AI) 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2027 

  • Examples of being an excellent writer: succinct, clear, and engaging, with an interest in the intersection of language and user experience 

  • An understanding of how content, tone, and voice affect the usability of a product, app, landing page, and website 

  • Knowledge of customer journeys and experience identifying opportunities for content touch points 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Figma and/or other current design tools 

  • Examples of work that demonstrate integration of copy and design, copywriting, and content strategy 

  • Hands-on knowledge of qualitative or quantitative research and analysis 

About the US Intern Program  

The 2026 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 18 – August 7 or June 15 – September 4). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

  • $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
  • $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
  • $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
