Summary: Grayhill is seeking a Business Development Leader to accelerate growth across our Vehicle Solutions business. Reporting directly to Vice President of Vehicle Solutions, you will identify and cultivate opportunities with OEMs, integrators, and key collaborators ranging from multinational Tier-1 manufacturers to smaller, emerging players. Your mission: expand our market presence and revenue by building relationships, uncovering untapped markets, and shaping a focused market-targeting plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, integrators and other strategic partners in the off-highway vehicle industry, including agriculture (e.g. tractors, combines) and construction (e.g. skid steers, dozers, excavators).
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and develop a market-targeting plan.
- Collaborate with Grayhill sales, marketing, engineering, and manufacturer representatives to expand business reach.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, including setting targets and monitoring performance.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts (with VP guidance), and close deals.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of business performance.
- Represent Grayhill at customer events, supplier days, trade shows, and industry showcases.
- Champion customer feedback to drive product and service improvements.
What You Bring
- Proven track record in direct customer interaction is required
- 5–10 years of experience in business development, sales operations, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Bachelor's degree (engineering preferred); MBA or master's in business a plus.
- Demonstrated success in market research, sales strategy, and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (SAP Cloud for Customer or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel 25–50% of the time domestically and internationally.
