Veteran Benefits Guide (VBG) was founded by a former United States Marine with the goal of ensuring that Veterans receive accurate disability benefits in a timely manner. Since it was founded, VBG has guided more than 35,000 Veterans through the complicated Veteran Affairs (VA) disability claims process. As a company founded by a Veteran and staffed by many Veterans and families of Veterans, VBG is committed to advocating for policies that protect the rights and interests of former service members.


Who we’re looking for:

 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager to support the strategy, development, and optimization of our Salesforce CRM platform. This role will focus on improving the effectiveness of our enterprise systems to enhance business operations and deliver better experiences for employees and partners.


As a key member of the Product team, you will partner with stakeholders across multiple departments to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of enhancements within Salesforce. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will gain exposure to the full product lifecycle while contributing to meaningful platform improvements.

Product Strategy & Planning

  • Contribute to product roadmaps and planning in alignment with stakeholder needs and company objectives
  • Translate user and business input into actionable product features and user stories
  • Help define success metrics and evaluate product performance against goals


Product Development & Delivery

  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and technical partners to deliver enhancements
  • Manage and refine the product backlog, write user stories, and participate in sprint planning and reviews
  • Assist with UAT coordination, release readiness, and post-launch validation
  • Support knowledge transfer and documentation for internal users and support teams


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Assist with requirements gathering and validation with internal stakeholders
  • Communicate updates, timelines, and priorities clearly across business and technical groups
  • Participate in product demos and feedback sessions to ensure solutions meet expectations


User Experience & Research

  • Support a user-first approach by gathering and integrating feedback from Salesforce users
  • Collaborate with design and technical resources to ensure workflows are intuitive and efficient
  • Assist with adoption initiatives, including training and support resources


Product Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor usage of Salesforce features and dashboards to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in tracking KPIs such as adoption, data quality, and process efficiency
  • Help triage and resolve Salesforce-related issues in partnership with technical teams


Qualifications or Competencies:

  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, Salesforce, business analysis, or related roles
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud are a plus
  • Understanding of Agile practices and product delivery lifecycle
  • Experience writing user stories and managing backlogs in tools like JIRA or Confluence
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams
  • Exposure to UX principles, stakeholder engagement, and basic reporting/analytics


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent work experience will also be considered
