- Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist provides computer, printer, and scanner support, assists with project implementation, and performs other IT functions. This role mainly supports RHS employees in remaining productive by assisting them via telephone, virtual, and in-person.
II. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values and always conducts oneself in a manner consistent with these values.
- Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety, and medical information.
- Supports internal desktops, laptops, phones, tablets, conference equipment, printers, scanners, fax machines, peripheral devices, etc.
- Responds to IT help desk ticketing system, email, and phone requests to correct hardware, software, printing, scanning, password, and other issues.
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on computers and ancillary equipment.
- Assist in configuring, installing, maintaining, and repairing all PCs, printers, and scanners.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of the Telephone system.
- Assist in creating and maintaining employees’ Active Directory and e-mail accounts.
- Prioritize emergency calls and determine safety hazards, document methods, and/or procedures for their correction.
- Maintains the updated inventory of all stock, tools, and test equipment.
- Maintains and completes records of work performed and repair history of individual pieces of equipment and completed work assignments updated in the ticketing system.
- Assist in maintaining IT and facility asset inventory, networks, and security.
- Strives to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network systems.
- Assist the IT Manager with any IT-related tasks or projects.
- Assist in terminating, testing and troubleshooting cooper network cabling and network connections to ensure reliable data transmission.
- Performs other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as directed.
Skills/Certifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel to all other sites as needed.
- Ability to multitask and remain focused while managing a high-volume, time-sensitive workload
- Exhibits intermediate computer literacy, specifically knowledge of Adobe Acrobat DC and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Internet and cloud-based software
- Problem-solving abilities and abilities to generate creative solutions
- Professional communication skills (ability to communicate concisely, cultivates customer service)
- Possesses strong organizational skills
- Must be able to multitask and have the ability to work under occasional stress
Experience/Education Required:
- Successful completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (IT/IS) or similar field, preferred
- 2+ years of Information Technology experience required
- Computer Technology Certifications desired
- Medical and/or dental business office experience desired
