We are looking for an Account Executive to join our team! This role is responsible for originating and submitting loan requests, presenting to loan committee, coordinating loan closings, as well as facilitating effective communication across departments.

What You’ll Do:
- Engage assigned accounts and prospects from Strategic Account Managers to convert leads to applications and closed loans.
- Assist in onboarding and training of new Strategic Accounts on loan products and Builders Capital proprietary software systems.
- Implement Strategic Accounts sales strategy; interacts with assigned relationships or potential customers to explain Builders Capital products and services to persuade them to do business with the company.
- Work closely with your manager and stakeholders to quickly provide accurate and detailed loan sheets and deal structures.
- Originate, submit loan requests for approval, present loan requests to Live Loan Review Committee (as needed) and work with operational support to facilitate loan closings.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for additional Builders Capital products.
- Provide feedback to Management on marketing campaigns.
- Actively and accurately track account and customer engagement and communications in the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Assist in the coordination of the credit approval process for loans, complying with internal policies and procedures.
- Interface with other operational departments to maintain client communication, continuity, and excellent customer service.
- Communicate with internal and external parties to ensure all appropriate information has been received from borrowers to best evaluate loan requests and ability to repay as stated.
- Coordinate activities, workstreams, and resources needed to achieve goals; keeping others informed on status or issues; solicits and provides feedback to others.
- Monitor funded loan portfolio identifying future opportunities with the account and/or management of troubled accounts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in loan origination, commercial lending, or financial services.
- Experience working with strategic or high-value accounts is strongly preferred.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of loan products, underwriting processes, and credit approval requirements.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; able to effectively explain financial products to clients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across departments, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Willingness to monitor active loan portfolios and identify new business opportunities or risk indicators.
- Proven ability to convert leads to applications and closed deals.
- Strong sales and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer service and retention.
- Skilled in identifying cross-selling opportunities and providing valuable customer insights.
- Proficiency with CRM systems for tracking customer engagement and activity.
- Comfortable working with proprietary loan systems or software; ability to quickly learn internal platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation for this position falls between $65,000-$75,000/year base salary + commissions.
