We are seeking a Backend Developer with a focus in DevSecOps to join our team of creative and innovative technologists!
About the role
As a Backend Developer with a DevSecOps focus, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining core backend components of our application stacks, with a strong emphasis on automation, integration, and API development. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary project teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable solutions.
Your focus:
- Developing and maintaining APIs, middleware, and integration solutions
- Implementing DevSecOps practices and automation workflows
- Working on systems development and integration projects (CMS, CRM, databases)
- Collaborating with multi-functional project teams to plan and deliver work sprints
- Contributing to the design and implementation of backend systems
- Participating in our various craft initiatives through regular meets and working groups
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of our development processes.
Requirements
You will demonstrate:
- Experience in backend development, with a focus on API and middleware development
- Extensive experience in deploying and maintaining AWS/Azure cloud platforms and services
- Experience working with hybrid cloud architectures
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and methodologies (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of core DevSecOps practices and tools
- Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of database design and management
- Strong cybersecurity fundamentals
- Familiarity with CMS, LMS and CRM development
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure deployment
- The ability to legally work in Australia.

- Naarm (Melbourne) based role
- Hybrid, but the expectation is the majority of your week is in-studio
- You must be legally able to work in Australia without restrictions
