Role/ Department: Advertising Coordinator/ Digital Marketing, Demand Generation & Data Analytics
The Digital Marketing, Demand Generation & Data Analytics team at Northern Trust is built on a foundation grounded in vision, structure, and process. Focused on providing growth opportunities to all lines of business in the company, this team is fast paced, highly collaborative and operates with a spirit of ingenuity and creativity.
The Advertising Coordinator supports the management and optimization of paid marketing campaigns to achieve business goals through data-driven insights and strategies. This role is responsible for leading the process of paid media plan execution in coordination with our media planning agency, internal marketing stakeholders, internal creative designers and external creative agency. The role requires working knowledge and experience in trafficking advertising concepts across channels including print, digital, search, social, video and programmatic.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
• Under moderate supervision from senior team members, supports the development and implementation of demand generation strategies and campaigns.
• Collaborates with cross-functional internal teams such as analytics, compliance, creative, digital marketing, and marketing teams to increase brand awareness, drive audience consideration, and drive qualified marketing leads.
• Uses Workfront project management tool to traffic paid advertising tactics including workflow, approvals, mock-ups and tracking details.
• Supports the creation and management of paid advertising budgets and forecasts.
• Lead collaboration sessions to drive paid media plan ideation sessions, status updates and planning calls.
Skills/ Qualifications:
• Requires 1 - 3 years of working knowledge and experience in performance marketing or a related field.
• Expanded conceptual knowledge of advertising principles and strategies.
• Working knowledge in digital marketing strategies and content marketing.
• Experience with marketing software, automation tools, and agency platforms.
• Experience with project management, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong verbal, written and presentation / communications skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field is highly preferred.
Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)

Salary Range:
$67,500 - 111,500 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
