Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $20.50 to $22.80+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Job Summary:
Implement daily leadership in the operations and maintenance of Terrain Park and Half Pipe venues, providing an exciting and enjoyable experience for the guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily opening and closing of each Terrain Parks/Halfpipes
Daily supervision of Terrain Park Hand Crew
Ensure a daily presents of Hand Crew staff in each park to interact with the guest
Assist Terrain Park Manager and Supervisors with short and long term design and layout goals
Work with Hand Crew Supervisor train Terrain Park Hand Crew on proper feature maintenance and job safety.
Responsible for all daily feature maintenance logs
Set example for Terrain Park Day Crew by practicing safe riding habits in the park, hard work and excellent customer service
Authority to make decisions on the snow regarding the opening, closing of a feature
Regular meetings with the Terrain Park Manager, Hand Crew Supervisor and staff for long and short term planning
Assisting in the construction of boxes, rails, wall rides, etc. when necessary
Be a presence in the terrain park rain or shine
Must be able to give as much focus on beginner parks as large parks
Daily assessment of risk as well as inspections and testing of features
May be asked to help with hiring, firing and evaluations of Hand Crew.
Contact PHQ with park/pipe opening and closing times and status.
Open or close features depending on conditions.
Event set up, support, and tear down.
Help maintain traffic flow in parks.
Keep Park and Pipe venues free of trash.
Report accidents to patrol and assist when needed. Help secure site.
Maintain and repair terrain park equipment and maintain cleanliness of equipment storage areas.
Be up to date with current trends in snowboarding and skiing.
Help improve the overall park program to improve the guest experience
Administration Duties:
Daily maintenance logs
Attendance at meetings as necessary
Help supervisor with ongoing development of standard operating procedures within the Terrain Park to keep up with industry trends
Guest Service Duties:
Provide exceptional guest service by creating a fun/innovative Terrain Park
Stay current with industry trends
Interact with guests and answer any questions in a friendly and helpful manner

Basic Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to ski/ride with tools or equipment.
Required to use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, drills, etc.
Must be able to work in cold alpine environment on uneven terrain.
Must have the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be able to communicate with immediate supervisor—oral and written.
Must be able to follow all policies as described in the employee handbook.
Must have a valid US Driver’s license
Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
Must have friendly, outgoing personality with commitment to provide the best experience for the guests at all times.
Must have strong leadership and management skills.
Must be cool headed and able to receive criticism from guests.
Must be a hard working team player and a self-starter able to take initiative.
Must have strong skiing or snowboarding skills and have knowledge of freestyle skiing/riding. ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE TESTED FOR ABILITY PRIOR TO STARTING WORK.
Must have at least two year Terrain Park/Half Pipe experience.
Must be able to assist in running special events/contests.
Basic First Aid/CPR highly recommended.
Schedule flexibility and some overtime may be necessary.
Must be able to make rational decisions in regards to the design and maintenance of terrain features.
Must have basic computer skills with Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and PowerPoint
