The Parks Snowmaking Crew Member will be an essential member of Woodward Park City's Parks and Slope Maintenance team, reporting to the Parks Supervisor at Woodward Park City. The successful applicant will be accountable for the efficient and productive operation of the snowmaking system and equipment. This includes maintaining all department equipment and keeping records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Equipment operation: Safely operating snowmaking guns and systems, including electrical and pressurized water equipment and motorized equipment 

  • Snow production: Using fan gun equipment to create manufactured snow 

  • Snow quality: Monitoring snow quality and adjusting water and airflow to snow guns to maintain efficiency 

  • Equipment maintenance: Inspecting guns, hoses, and hydrants, and performing minor maintenance or repairs 

  • Relocation: Constantly moving guns and hoses to different areas of the mountain 

  • Documentation: Reporting mechanical and safety issues 

  • Other tasks: Driving snowmobiles, trucks, and ATVs, and abiding by mountain rules and regulations 

Basic Requirements:

  • A valid Driver's license is required

  • At least three months of manual labor or guest service experience in a professional environment 

  • Willingness to lift to 50 lbs regularly

  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.

  • Ability to work overnight shifts.

  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after the candidate accepts the position.
