The Quality Manager is responsible for accuracy of sampling, testing, measuring, recording, and analyzing productions results.

Reports to: Plant Manager and interfaces with production, shipping purchasing and Corporate R&D.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Promotes health, safety, and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.
  • Supervises lab personnel and functions relating to the performance and execution of lab tests to produce reliable data ensuring products conform to known company and customer standards.
  • Ensures that routine tasks are performed accurately and follows strict methodologies to carry out analyses.
  • Ensures proper preparation of specimens and samples.
  • Interprets results obtained by Lab Tech and relays to Plant Manager.
  • Generates QC report summaries for the Plant Manager.
  • Prepares reports on WW software platform.
  • Responsible for formula optimization. Batches found to be out of specification require input and approval by the Quality Manager.
  • Manages the ISO-9001-2015 quality system.
  • Performs ISO:2015 internal Audits
  • Must be available for 24/7 plant support.
  • Maintains a safe working environment, following all safety rules and procedures.
  • Prepares weekly and or monthly summaries covering the quality system, test data and other information regarding product quality for the Plant Manager and other operations personnel.
  • Performs other duties as required. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
  • Requires working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in a laboratory environment.
  • Moderate dust, noise, hot and cold climates intermittently.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds intermittently.
  • Visual Acuity (including color perception).
  • Good Hearing.
