Fire Sprinkler Contract Sales Representative
Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers is looking for an experienced Commercial Contract Sales Representative to join our Fort Myers, FL branch. The Contract Sales Representative for Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. is primarily responsible for selling new construction projects and meeting and/or exceeding the company's established sales quotas and gross profit margins. This position prepares accurate and timely new construction proposals. The Contract Sales Representative ensures that proposals are tracked in accordance with company practices and follows up with customers in a timely manner to ensure receipt and answer questions.
Day to Day:
- Prepare accurate proposals for new construction projects and follow up with customers to answer questions.
- Update and utilize WAFS ERP to maintain customer profiles, sites/properties, opportunities, quotes, reports, and activities to improve customer management and capture work.
- Track and manage opportunities in ERP from start to finish; submit required project paperwork and documents (checklists, contracts, insurance, drawings, etc.) as needed.
- Meet or exceed company sales quotas and profit margin goals.
- Build strong, multi-level customer relationships to ensure WAFS is their vendor of choice.
- Schedule regular appointments with customers to review services, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with other WAFS Sales Reps (LSS, Service, Alarms) to meet customer needs.
- Conduct Lunch & Learn sessions and other presentations to generate additional business.
- Attend networking events and participate in associations/committees to build connections and obtain new business.
- Provide management with regular updates on market conditions, customer objections, service concerns, and competitive challenges.
- Work with management to review capture rates and adjust strategies when needed.
- Collaborate with WAFS General Counsel on contract reviews, clarifying scope, exclusions, and legal terms to minimize risk.
- Represent WAFS professionally through approved customer entertainment and relationship-building.
- Enhance knowledge of WAFS products, services, and procedures by attending training and department meetings.
- Maintain professionalism, diplomacy, and positive relationships with both external customers and internal team members.
- Communicate and assist colleagues as needed to quote jobs and answer questions.
- Submit all required reports accurately and on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Valid driver’s license meeting company driving eligibility standards.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening including 10 years of employment verification is required to be hired at Wayne Automatic.
