- Manage a team of ambitious Business Development Reps supporting our APAC Enterprise and Mid-Market sales teams
- Responsible for driving Meltwater’s revenue growth through consultative sales and acquisition of new business
- Drive the entire business development process from start to finish - from prospecting & opportunity identification, inbound lead qualification, cold calling, pitching, to setting up client meetings for the Sales team
- Coach and Mentor Business Development Representatives in region
- Manage a pipeline of inbound and self-sourced leads to identify, engage, and develop relationships with potential prospects
- Educate and guide prospects through the buyer’s journey to help them understand how Meltwater can help drive their business goals and objectives
- Support the sales organization in meeting (and hopefully exceeding!) monthly sales targets
What You'll Bring:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred for this role, so you can bring your academic prowess to the table.
- 6 - 8 years of experience in Business or Sales Development Leadership, ideally in the SaaS industry
- Proven experience in outbound prospecting and lead generation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct effective initial meetings and lead qualification.
- Interest in tech & SaaS / media intelligence as well as coaching a team
- Good to have track record of successes and highlights in sales achievements
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
- Prior experience cold calling, booking and conducting software demos, or exposure to sales processes from prospecting to closing of deals
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational skills, including CRM management and accurate data tracking.
- Ability to align with Marketing strategies and campaigns to optimize lead-generation efforts.
- A keen interest in learning, adaptability, and resilience in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in [Language] and English.
- Openness to embrace our hybrid work schedule - 3 days a week in office
