Position Overview 

The Marketing and Communications Specialist is a versatile contributor responsible for executing and optimizing marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels. This role blends expertise in content creation and digital marketing technology with strong communication skills to support brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth. The ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative, capable of managing campaigns, producing compelling content, and leveraging digital tools to measure and enhance performance.

Essential Functions

Strategic Campaign Management

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and shape marketing strategies.
  • Create, edit, and optimize content for websites, blogs, email, social media, and industry publications.
  • Assist in promoting specialized divisions (such as training and research) to drive engagement and customer retention.
  • Conduct market research to support strategic planning and campaign development; staying current with marketing trends, tools, and technologies to recommend innovative approaches.

Content Creation

  • Research and write content for a variety of marketing channels, ensuring consistency with the company’s messaging and brand guidelines.
  • Review and edit content produced by others, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to review and improve existing content, ensuring it resonates with the audience and drives engagement.
  • Support email marketing and social media outreach, including campaign planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional marketing efforts.

Digital Marketing and Technology

  • Develop and deploy a variety of digital marketing campaigns, including keyword research, site analysis, A/B testing, and content optimization.
  • Manage and update website content using content management systems such as WordPress and HubSpot, ensuring functionality and performance.
  • Maintain organized records of campaign results and marketing analytics.
  • Leverage Microsoft Dynamics and HubSpot and marketing automation tools to streamline workflows and improve targeting.
  • Analyze marketing performance metrics—such as website traffic, conversion rates, and campaign return on investment—and generate insights to inform future initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:             

  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to enhance project management efficiency while ensuring a human-centered approach that aligns with team dynamics and organizational guidelines.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills; familiarity with AP style preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEO, HTML, and CMS platforms such as WordPress.
  • Experience with social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Creative thinker with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, email marketing, digital marketing, or a related area.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
  • Familiarity with content optimization techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with different levels of the organization.
