Job Purpose

Provide customer technical support, training, and guidance on the use and application of company products, services, and equipment to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Job Location & Work Schedule

  • Onsite at customer's location in St-Stephen, New Brunswick 
  • Operations run from Monday 6:00 PM to Friday 6:00 PM, with weekly rotating 12-hour shifts (Days: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM / Nights: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM).

Total Compensation

  • Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually
  • Bonus: 15% based on personal and corporate performance
  • Vacation & Leave: 3 weeks vacation + 5 personal/sick days + 2 floater days

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide on-site technical support to customers, including training on coating and painting application practices.
  • Monitor inventory, place orders, and prepare coatings (paints, base coats, inks, UV topcoats, totes, drums) to ensure uninterrupted customer operations.
  • Perform quality control adjustments, product trials, and paint tests for new products.
  • Capture and report daily production data; keep SOPs updated.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, resolve customer complaints, and escalate unresolved matters with proper documentation.
  • Support the implementation and testing of new products and technologies.
  • Attend and contribute to customer meetings and production discussions.
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer staff to support business growth.
  • Utilize CRM and reporting tools to maintain accurate records, visit/action reports, and regulatory requests.
  • Deliver progress reports, recommending improvements and highlighting trends.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE standards, corporate policies, and site-specific regulations.
  • Support customers at different locations as needed.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in Coatings industry; wood coatings preferred
  • Bachelor Degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or related field an asset (all may apply)
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills in a B2B environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to learn web-based systems quickly.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel within Canada and occasionally to the USA.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able ot lift 50 lbs with ease.
