DSP Program Manager


At Rever Grand, our mission is to provide high quality, person-centered services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD), assisting them to lead dignified, independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes and the community in which they live.


 Rever Grand is seeking a DSP Program Manager to be a part of our dedicated administrative team that serves the I/DD community. The DSP Program Manager directs, coordinates, and oversees the operations for various departments within the Rever Grand Direct Support Professional (DSP) Program. The DSP Program Manager oversees compliance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines for hiring and training DSPs and administrative staff.

Requirements

 Essential Functions

  • Provide leadership and use management practices to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are put into practice.
  • Develop strategies to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and functionality of day-to-day operations within the departments they oversee.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable state and federal laws. 
  • Oversee the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes for new DSPs and the promotion processes of current DSPs to Lead DSPs.
  • Continuously monitor and restructure the allocation of DSPs to ensure that the number of DSPs the Lead DSPs oversee does not exceed the maximum amount allowed by Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs).
  • Implement company policies and procedures that guide the in-person meetings and ongoing coaching and guidance provided by Lead DSPs to the DSPs that they supervise.
  • Ensure that applicable administrative staff provide Lead DSPs with required training to fulfill the expectations of their position.
  • Manage the Employee Relations and Training Departments to ensure compliance with expectations, objectives, laws, and regulations. 
  • Continually monitor OARs for changes that affect the operations of the DSP Program. Develop new procedures in accordance with changes in the OARs to ensure continued compliance.
  • Continually monitor the Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) and other state and federal employment regulations to ensure continued compliance with hiring and employment practices. 
  • Establish work schedules and monitor work performance by administrative staff to meet goals, objectives, and targets.
  • Provide training to Department Supervisors on administering disciplinary action and participate in the disciplinary action process when escalation is necessary.
  • Provide regular performance feedback, develop employees’ skills, and encourage growth.
  • Delegate and monitor the training of new administrative employees in the necessary aspects of operation for each  department. 
  • Provide oversight of department employees’ annual reviews.
  • Effectively communicate with administrative staff, executive management, Lead DSPs, and external sources demonstrating clear, direct, and respectful interactions. 
  • Utilize data entry systems to respond to and document phone calls, emails, and text messages with strong attention to detail
  •  Perform other duties as assigned. 


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other computer programs.
  • Strong Excel skills, data manipulation, formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of how to read, interpret, and implement OARs and other state and federal regulations.
  • Knowledge of BOLI guidelines and other relevant employment laws.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to various software systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting.
  • Strong work ethic and superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies through knowledge of company history, culture, identity, and goals.


Education and Experience

  • Three years or more of management experience.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Community Living Supports agency operations and industry-related trends and forecasts preferred.

  

Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Limited periods of standing, walking, reaching, stretching may be required.
  • Frequent communication verbally and electronically.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
