The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is one of Georgia's four health agencies serving the state's growing population of over 10 million people. DCH serves as the lead agency for Medicaid, oversees the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) and Healthcare Facility Regulation, impacting one in four Georgians. Through effective planning, purchasing, and oversight, DCH provides access to affordable, quality health care to millions of Georgians, including some of the state's most vulnerable and under-served populations. Six enterprise offices support the work of the agency’s three program divisions. DCH employees are based in Atlanta, Cordele, and across the state.

Position Duties
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Systems Management & Oversight
- Oversee administration of time and leave management.
- Monitor and resolve system engagement issues in PeopleSoft HCM and Workday, including employee action errors and workflow interruptions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for HR transactions, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain data integrity by reviewing, validating, and correcting employee records.
GA@Work Subject Matter Expert (Project NextGen Workday Integration)
- Collaborate with implementation teams to support a successful transition from PeopleSoft HCM to Workday (GA@Work).
- Conduct system testing, identify issues, and coordinate resolution efforts.
- Lead data validation and clean-up activities to ensure accuracy prior to go-live.
- Assist in the design and configuration of supervisory organizations in Workday.
- Deliver training for HR staff and end users.
Team Supervision
- Direct and supervise HR Technicians, ensuring accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables.
- Identify and address training needs and process improvement opportunities.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to enhance team capabilities in HR systems usage and troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications
AGENCY SPECIFIC PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills/experience):
- The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of HR processes and systems.
- Proficiency with HRIS, preferably with PeopleSoft HCM and/or Workday.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
- Demonstrated skill in managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Possesses good judgment and must be a team player
