Technical Manager
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Directs, coordinates, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within prescribed time frame and funding parameters for given projects by performing the following duties. The Plant Manager fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Directs activities to design new equipment, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures. Directs integration of technical activities and developments through the implementation and qualification phase. Coordinates installation and commissioning of production equipment at the specified manufacturing location.
- Suggests and evaluates design changes, specifications, and optimal operating conditions (cycle times, temperatures, pressures, etc.) to maximize output and quality.
- Resolves problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
- Analyzes technological trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects.
- Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
- Advises management of new developments which may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and/or inter-departmental relations.
- Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.
- Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages, and project budgets.
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent work experience. Recommended in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ten to fifteen years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, and analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles or for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present and communicate all aspects of a given project to other team members, top management and customers using presentations, email, Gantt carts drawings and concise verbal communication.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundaments of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of CAD Design software and Microsoft Office products software.
- Pleasant and professional demeanor. Work well with others and has good organizational skills. Possesses attention to detail and concern for accuracy. Has an effective level of communication and interaction skills. Project management and troubleshooting skills.
