Now, let’s talk #workperks! While bridal is a niche market of retail – our hours certainly don’t reflect those of traditional retail hours [goodbye early mornings + late, late nights!]. Also, pop the champs, we are CLOSED on all those special holidays where big box retail finds it revenue-worthy to be open. Our Assistant Store Manager’s schedule will correlate with our boutique hours, with weekends required.
The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for individual and store sales, customer experience, daily operations, and supporting with employee development. This position is expected to lead, manage, retain, and support in holding the team accountable. This position will work collaboratively with our other boutique teams, and report directly to the Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the Store Manager with Stylist interviews. While the SM will have the final say, the ASM can facilitate the initial interview.
- Assists the Store Manager with training and the ongoing development of the team. This may include completing Stylist Scorecards and assigning additional training on Seismic.
- While the Store Manager owns scheduling, the ASM can assist by drafting the initial schedule and making real-time staffing decisions based on business needs.
- Supports the SM with real-time coaching of the team and serves as a witness during corrective actions.
- Owns customer service for their location, consistently receiving great customer surveys and reviews. Implementing the feedback to continuously improve service quality and customer satisfaction. Effectively supports the Store Manager with handling customer service issues
- Demonstrates a consistent ability to support the store in meeting and exceeding all store Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), consistently achieving ambitious targets that drive continuous improvement and success. Utilizes tools such as the departmental scorecard to gather and relay information to team members
- Owns store maintenance, ensuring both the sales floor and back of house areas are well- maintained, organized, and clean. This includes regular upkeep, timely repairs, maintaining inventory, and upholding high brand standards throughout the entire store
- Acts as a backup for the SM in case of absence. While the DM will provide support, they will continue to focus on the district as a whole. The day to day operations will be owned by the ASM temporarily.
Hourly Compensation: $21-22/hour, plus commission

Requirements

Required Internal Qualifications:
- Successfully complete a background check.
- Interview process will be required.
- Has ALL qualifications of a Bridal Stylist:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) is required.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in retail or bridal.
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience, with skills in upselling; experience from other industries will be considered.
- Proficient in software such as POS systems, CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and Zoom.
- Strong English communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Must be able to navigate throughout the store and have the stamina to consistently support brides in an active work environment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds (e.g., mannequins, boxes, and gowns).
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Stylist or Senior Stylist for 1.5+ years OR meets ALL external qualifications.
- CI Match of at least 50% OR pre-approval from Leadership. *
- People Analyzers completed have been rated at an averaged number of 4.3 or higher (Core Values + GWC) for the past year + cannot have a corrective action served within 6 months.
- Masters Sales Process experiences 1-9 including an average checkride score of 4.5 or higher within the past 6 months.
- Has proven experience in increasing AOV by maintaining an average accessory % of sales at 15% or higher and selling Preservation Kits on average to 10% of brides in the past 6 months.
- Has had 90% follow-up completion for the past 6 months .
