Clear Lake Bank & Trust Company is hiring a Personal Banker in our Clear Lake Office.  This position is ideal for the career-focused, self-starter with dedication to success and a proven track record in retail banking.  The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service, community-focused, skilled in asking the right questions, with high-levels of personal accountability and integrity.   

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Opens, closes, and maintains checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates of deposit, IRAs, safety deposit boxes, and ATM/Debit Cards. 
  • Uses the consultative sales process to build a thorough customer profile and identify current and future financial needs. Effectively utilizes customer relationship manager to effectively communicate with team and record notes as needed.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of Retail Consumer and small business products and services recommending appropriate solutions to customers. 
  • Provides consistent and knowledgeable customer service in all forms of communication including, but not limited to phones, online chat platforms, and in-person.
  • Performs account maintenance to meet customer requests, compliance, and sales related tasks. 
  • Assist in other areas as needed to support the overall performance of the bank and service to its customers.  

Typical work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM,
  • Saturdays 8:00 AM - 12:00 Noon approximately every 6th Saturday,
  • Candidates will be expected to be able to be flexible at times and available to meet the needs of the Bank. 

 Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in banking required
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are required 
  • Excellent organizational skills and follow through required
  • Proficient in PC usage and standard office applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook); must be able to demonstrate proficiency of basic functions.
