Physical Therapist Assistant– Industrial Setting – Smyrna, TN

We are seeking an energetic Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team for a PRN opportunity at a local automotive facility in Smyrna, TN. Our ideal candidate will plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for manufacturing employees suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability under the supervision of staff Physical Therapist.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Carry out and review plan of care provided by Physical Therapist regarding patient's condition and follow recommended physical therapy treatment plan.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to Company/department policies and procedures along with adhering to federal and state regulations

Ideal candidate will:

• Possess strong ergonomic and orthopedic interest and knowledge
• Be energetic, professional and dependable
• Work independently, take initiative and problem solve
• Possess strong customer service, communication and clinical skills
• Effectively manage time and accurately complete tasks
• Have emergency response experience

Education and training required:

• Completion of accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
• CPR/AED/BLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
• A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• Be able to maintain confidentiality
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Currently seeking PRN/ Interim Coverage
• Day shift
