DevOps Engineer bei Arobas Personnel

Arobas personnel is looking for a DevOps Engineer for a contract with one of our clients located in Montreal. 

 *Remote : Hybrid- 100% Remote Canada wide, Same Time Zone (EDT/EST)* 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, automating, and optimizing infrastructure and deployment processes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth software delivery, reliable systems, and a strong security posture.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software.
• Setting up and managing cloud infrastructure (VMs, networks, storage).
• Automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Monitoring system performance and application health, implementing robust security measures to guard against threats.
• Collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to identify bottlenecks and resolve issues, fostering a strong DevOps culture.
• Selecting, implementing, and managing DevOps tools tailored to different stages of the development process.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in large organizations (10,000+ employees).
• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Solid experience with major cloud providers (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools for task execution and workflow management.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef.
• Strong understanding of operating systems and system-level operations.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and work in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in manufacturing, transportation, automotive, or aerospace industries.
• Background in international, multi-site organizations with operations across continents.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Hands-on expertise with a variety of DevOps tools and cloud platforms.
