Arobas personnel is looking for a Senior PCO for a contract with one of our clients located in Montreal. 

 *Remote : Hybrid- (In office 2 days per week is required. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory)

Your Role:

As a Senior Project Control Officer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial performance, governance, and risk management across a portfolio of major projects. You’ll ensure that initiatives align with strategic objectives, while supporting executives with clear, accurate, and actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects comply with established frameworks, policies, and procedures while maintaining alignment with portfolio strategy.
  • Promote best practices through proactive communication, training, coaching, and audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Consolidate financial data across portfolios to provide a transparent and comprehensive financial performance view.
  • Coordinate and validate Year-End Outlook (YEO) submissions for Finance.
  • Integrate project-level data into portfolio dashboards and reporting platforms (On-Time/On-Budget dashboards, SPMC, Monthly Reviews).
  • Conduct financial analysis at the portfolio level, identify variances, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor financial envelopes, including prioritizations, approved budgets, and contingency allocations.
  • Produce tailored financial and performance reports for executive stakeholders.
  • Maintain and analyze portfolio-level risk registers to assess impacts on benefits, timelines, and budgets.
  • Support the Portfolio/Program Manager in developing and maintaining management plans, ensuring alignment at the project level.
  • Lead change management processes at the portfolio/program level, including impact assessments on scope, funding, and reserves.
  • Act as a liaison between PCOs, Portfolio Managers, and executive governance structures.
  • Drive implementation of new reporting frameworks (e.g., EVM) across portfolios.
  • Support risk assessments, issue tracking, and change management oversight.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in project control, financial management, or project governance.
  • Strong expertise in project costing, financials, and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis.
  • Bilingual (French & English), with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders inside and outside Quebec.
