Description
American Hospice and Home Health Services is currently seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Secretary / Administrative Assistant to support our leadership team and operations across our service counties.
Salary range $50,000 – $65,000 annually (depending on experience)
*Negotiable to salary or hourly pay rates depending on experience.
The Secretary / Administrative Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative support, including data entry, clerical coordination, light project management assistance, and secretarial duties. This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth office operations and supporting our leadership team in delivering quality patient care.
Our hospice care mission is to provide compassionate and quality end of life care and grief support to patients and their families. We provide emotional comfort to patients, families and caregivers during the last phase of one’s life
Our home health care mission is to provide professional and paraprofessional services to patients in their homes, assisting them to achieve the highest level of potential in their day-to-day activities
Requirements
Administrative & Secretarial Duties
- Manage scheduling, correspondence, and office communications.
- Organize and maintain filing systems (electronic and physical).
- Order and track office supplies, ensuring adequate stock at all times.
- Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations as requested.
- Assist leadership with calendar management, meeting preparation, and minutes.
Data Entry & Reporting
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain data in company systems.
- Generate simple reports and spreadsheets to support management review.
- Ensure all records are organized, accurate, and compliant with company standards.
Project Support
- Provide light project management assistance by tracking tasks and deadlines.
- Support cross-departmental initiatives under the direction of the Director of Operations.
- Assist in monitoring progress of ongoing projects and communicating updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of administrative, secretarial, or office support experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfort with data entry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
