POSITION TITLE: Social Services Manager
PAY RANGE: $157,250-$162,000/year
REPORTS TO: Director of Social Services
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Assists the Director of Social Services with oversight in treatment program planning, Hearing & Hold coordination, discharge planning, and evaluation of the effectiveness of provided social services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audit charts to ensures compliance with all treatment plan requirements including weekly review and updates with the patient (indicated by patient signatures, initials and dates that each review is completed).
- Manages clinical and case management staff workload, prioritizing work assignments, evaluating performance, interpreting and enforcing policies and procedures, resolving issues and working with HR to administer disciplinary action when required.
- Attends relevant meetings in the Director of Social Services absence.
- Identify problem areas and recommend changes to improve program performance and services such as trainings and interventions with evidenced based modalities.
- Maintains effective working and professional relationships and communications with internal, external customers and across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Consult on and take on difficult cases when necessary.
- Provide clinical supervision to clinicians seeking licensure “as needed” (must be at least 2 years post license).
- Carries out personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management, and employee relations functions.
- Support leadership to provide high quality orientation and ongoing education for clinical staff.
- Assist with department scheduling, timekeeping, and employee requests in UKG.
- Address and resolve patient, family or referring facility complaints.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards.
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or closely related field.
- Three years of behavioral health experience with two or more years of supervisory or managerial experience in serving Severely Mentally Ill in an Inpatient setting preferred.
- Current LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC licensure in good standing with the CA BBS. Individuals who are currently enrolled in a Ph.D./Psy.D Intern School Program may be considered on a case-by-case basis as approved by the CEO.
- Current CPR and HWC (Handle with Care) certification or during initial orientation period.
- If providing clinical supervision, a CA BBS clinical supervision accreditation is required.

- Proficiency with software and/or equipment (Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently required to do the following:
- Use standard office equipment and access, input, and retrieve information from a computer. Use computer keyboard with manual and finger dexterity and wrist-finger speed sufficient to perform repetitive actions efficiently for extended periods of time.
