You are the dynamic, professional Business Development Specialist we are looking for. You will build effective community partnerships/relationships, lead outreach campaigns, collaborate with staff and external contacts, report on key performance metrics, and support the overall direction of the region with subsequent assistance being provided to the central marketing team.

Business Development Specialist Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage the regional marketing budget with collaboration from both the Director of Operations and the Marketing Manager
- Attend and participate in various events in the assigned region
- Be the initial contact and liaison for Meridian with the event organizer
- Obtain volunteers to assist in working the event
- Collaborate with the central marketing team to ascertain necessary supplies
- Host and lead events, if offered, at one of the Meridian locations in assigned region
- Follows direction and guidance from Director of Operations on outreach focus points and pivots appropriately based on regional needs
- Plans and presents monthly data to Director of Operations and works with local leadership to further progress on selected marketing campaigns
- Creates and assists in digital marketing campaigns with the central marketing team
- Leads and attends meetings with the central marketing team on behalf of the region
- Gain new contacts in the region to further the region�s business development and maintains current community relationships through active engagement and follow-up
- Meet or exceed established metrics for the position on a quarterly/annual basis
- Acts as the liaison between the Accounting Department and the region to track revenue and expenditures for regional based events
- Provides additional support to the central marketing team and other MHS outreach efforts as needed
- Stays current on the latest marketing trends and best practices
We are seeking Business Development Specialist candidates with the following qualities:
- Bachelor�s Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, social work, public administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver�s license, a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred
- Zoom and Microsoft Teams experience also preferred
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), marketing design tools, and project management preferred
