JOB OVERVIEW:
Oversee all aspects of Childcare operations to ensure a safe, engaging, and compliant environment for children and team members. Maintain adherence to state and local regulations, manage staffing and program delivery, support cross-departmental initiatives, and uphold Boar’s Head Resort standards through effective leadership, communication, and operational excellence.

Indoors and outdoors at Boar’s Head Resort, primarily at The Sports Club
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Ensure the safety and well-being of children and maintain a safe working environment for all staff, members and guests.
· Manage all aspects of Childcare operations, including budgeting, payroll, licensing compliance, and program delivery.
· Lead hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to foster a positive team culture.
· Maintain required certifications (e.g. CPR, First Aid, AED) and stay current on childcare regulations.
· Support member and resort guest engagement through enrollment assistance, policy education and responsive communication.
· Oversee program quality and alignment with member needs across camps and childcare services, collaborating with Sports Club department heads.
· Collaborate with Marketing to promote programs and events.
· Maintain accurate records, billing and supply ordering within budget.
· Serve as a resource for Sports Club and Boar’s Head information; assist with member events and coverage as needed.
· Communicate issues promptly to the Director and uphold company standards in all duties.
· Contribute to resort-wide initiatives and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in childcare or youth programming
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Strong understanding of state licensing requirements and local health/fire regulations
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time management proficiency
- Ability to manage budgets, payroll, and administrative tasks
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred:
- Experience in a resort, club or hospitality setting
- Background in planning and promoting youth programs and camps
- Familiarity with childcare management software and billing systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of aquatics, racquet sports or other club programming to support childcare integration
