JOB OVERVIEW
Supports the Sports Club in managing operations, programs and sporting events while collaborating with departments to ensure seamless daily operations. Works closely with staff across the club to uphold Forbes Travel Guide and Preferred Hotel standards, delivering exceptional experiences for members and resort guests while contributing to the club’s strategic growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead major annual events (e.g., professional tennis/squash tournaments, Turkey Trot 5K).
- Track and report performance metrics to assess utilization, program success and new initiatives.
- Serve as primary liaison with Food & Beverage to determine operational needs and generate revenue.
- Assist with member communications, social events and relationship-building to foster engagement.
- Support Associate Operations Manager with daily club operations.
- Manage departmental expenses and contribute new revenue ideas.
- Represent Boar’s Head Resort in the community to promote awareness and membership growth.
- Address member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Serve as Manager on Duty as scheduled; ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain CPR certification.
- Stay informed on all club programs, events and initiatives.
- Uphold service standards and company policies; contribute to overall resort success through additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Sports Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in hospitality, fitness, or luxury club operations.
- Experience managing multi-department teams; Forbes/Preferred Hotel standards a plus.
- Background in event and program management (e.g., tournaments, social or community events).
- Background in marketing to support member communications and engagement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and accountability skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration across departments.
- Organized with experience in scheduling, payroll, purchasing, and budgets.
- Guest-service driven with ability to solve problems under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling/property management systems.
- CPR/First Aid certified (or able to obtain within 90 days).
- Familiarity with club operations.
- Professional, approachable, and hands-on.
- Flexible to work indoors/outdoors, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Committed to excellence, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in luxury resort, hotel, or private club operations.
- Experience with Forbes Travel Guide, Preferred Hotel or AAA Diamond service standards.
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
- Advanced certifications in hospitality management, leadership, or safety.
